The Role
The Social Media Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with Amazon's overarching marketing goals. You will be tasked with creating engaging, shareable content, monitoring performance, and cultivating relationships with our audience across all social media platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic social media plan that aligns with Amazon's brand objectives and marketing initiatives.
- Create, curate, and manage engaging content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and more.
- Monitor, listen, and respond to users in a “social” manner, while identifying and enhancing community engagement.
- Compile reports analyzing performance metrics and present data-driven insights and recommendations to improve engagement and reach.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and PR, to ensure brand messaging is consistent across all channels.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in social media, technology, and consumer behavior to ensure our strategies are innovative and effective.
- Manage paid social media campaigns and budgets to maximize ROI.
- Coordinate with influencers and brand ambassadors to amplify our reach and engagement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in social media management, preferably within a retail or e-commerce environment.
- Proven track record of managing successful social media campaigns.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills that align with our brand voice.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret social media insights and translate data into actionable strategies.
- Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer) and analytics platforms.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
- A passion for storytelling and a keen understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences.
